"We’re thrilled to announce our fundraiser to support OFILD (Options for Independent Living and Development), a local registered charity that provides housing and access to support for adults with special needs. OFILD is all about working with residents to help them maintain their housing needs and tools to live as independently as possible in a safe and secure environment.

Options for Independent Living and Development is a registered charity offering a wide range of opportunities and programs to encourage individuals to build greater levels of health and engagement with supported independence in a safe, structured environment (housing).
This is achieved through the provision of housing, individual supports, learning environments and social opportunities. This will benefit individuals needing a supported living environment, and advance our primary purpose; which is to provide for educational opportunities and the prevention of poverty for individuals from the special-needs community.

Affordable Housing Project:
Given the well documented housing crisis, it is important that we work together with interested individuals and like-minded organizations in order to secure and deliver high quality affordable housing in Hamilton, Ontario. If you are interested in supporting this cause, please let us know. We need your donations and we are also happy to discuss opportunities to develop affordable housing. With regards to the new build at 137 George, things are coming along nicely, albeit at a slower pace than we'd like to see. This has been a very slow, painstaking process for us, but we are convinced that significant milestones have been reached and we will soon find ourselves in the final phase of building. |
